Is Saturn a failed star?
It is the size that prevented it from becoming a star. Both Jupiter and Saturn had the potential to become dwarf stars, but did not have sufficient mass for the gas body of the planet to collapse into a core small enough and hot enough to attain fusion ignition.
Instead, Saturn got stuck. It got large enough that it could pull down a significant amount of hydrogen and helium through sheer force of gravitational will, but not enough that it could kick that process into overdrive and really get going. So for all intents and purposes, Saturn is a failed gas giant, Helled says.

Is Saturn losing its rings?
In 2018, NASA said its Voyager 1 and 2 missions confirmed decades ago that Saturn is losing its rings. "The rings are being pulled into Saturn by gravity as a dusty rain of ice particles under the influence of Saturn's magnetic field," NASA said.
Due to Saturn's vast distance from the Sun, the gas giant's average "surface" temperature is -178 degrees Celsius or -288.4 degrees Fahrenheit. Scientists believe there is a small, dense core at the center of the planet that is extremely hot and may be over 8,300 degrees Celsius or 15,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Saturn SA-1 vehicle, 162 feet high and weighing 460 tons, lifted off from Launch Complex 34 on Oct. 27, 1961. The booster stage produced the intended 1.3 million pounds of thrust — later versions of the rocket increased the thrust to 1.5 million pounds — lifting the rocket to an altitude of 85 miles.
But Saturn's missing moon is hypothetical, and the effect of its loss on Saturn is only a theory, one that must stand up to scrutiny from other teams. Last year, a group of scientists published research on Saturn's tilt, but their work was premised on the idea that the planet remains in resonance with Neptune.

Stars form directly from the collapse of dense clouds of interstellar gas and dust. Because of rotation, these clouds form flattened disks that surround the central, growing stars. After the star has nearly reached its final mass, by accreting gas from the disk, the leftover matter in the disk is free to form planets.
First, the North Star, Polaris, alpha Ursae Minoris, is in no danger of burning out any time soon. maybe in a few tens of millions of years, but not any time soon. Second, Polaris happens to be the North Star at the moment. (It is actually about 0.9 degrees from the pole.)
Saturn is far too small to be considered a “failed star.” We sometimes use that term for a brown dwarf , but the smallest brown dwarf is perhaps 20 times the mass of Jupiter.

The answer is yes … and no. Some astronomers believe that one reason Earth is habitable is that the gravity of Jupiter does help protect us from some comets. Long-period comets, in particular, enter the solar system from its outer reaches.
No one knows for sure. Some research has hypothesized that the spot could disappear in a few decades, but because researchers don't fully understand how and why the spot is changing, it may also last for much longer, possibly many centuries.
Jupiter took most of the mass left over after the formation of the Sun, ending up with more than twice the combined material of the other bodies in the solar system. In fact, Jupiter has the same ingredients as a star, but it did not grow massive enough to ignite.
The Great Red Spot is a giant, spinning storm in Jupiter's atmosphere. It is like a hurricane on Earth, but it is much larger. Jupiter's Great Red Spot is more than twice the size of Earth! Winds inside this storm reach speeds of about 270 miles per hour.
